With more tenants organizing and demanding repairs for safe living conditions, landlords have retaliated with unjust and discriminatory lease non-renewals. We thank Housing Justice Champion, Del. Wilkins for protecting families! Check out the Op-Ed: shorturl.at/sAIS3

The Menstrual Products Access and Equity Act received strong public support at the public hearing last week. This bill is an important step forward in menstrual health in our County.
In July, The Montgomery County Council passed a permanent county-wide rent stabilization bill. Moments ago, they passed a special appropriation bill 24-14, allocating $1,374,470 to DHCA to fund and implement it.
Tomorrow 12/12, the Council will hold a public hearing for my bill, 42-23 "Menstrual Products Access and Equity Act" followed by a press conference with advocates and key organizations. Access to menstrual products is a public health need.
Today, we we’re out wheatpasting to spread the word about rent stabilization in downtown Silver Spring and Germantown! Experiencing a rent increase of more than 6%? Contact [email protected] or (240) 394-7732.
