Did you miss our 7 state #schoolchoice poll? Voters support giving parents control of education resources when schools are closed by 2-1 or 3-1 margins See them here: readyeducation.org/recent-publica… #KYsen #KYpol #txpoli #TXSEN #moleg #tnpol #tnsen #alpolitics #nepol #inlegis

So what is the purpose of paying taxes for the system?

School closures are now considered a perfectly reasonable tool in the toolbox as many of us feared when they closed in March 2020. The education of our children has been deemed inessential & schools the most dangerous place on earth. We will come to regret this.

Or nearly doubling 5,000 teachers at $37,000 a year.

With ppr listed as $11,558/year, that is the same as not funding education costs for 11,766 students.

It's not about party, it is about parents.

parents are the new special interest in town - and they aren't going away any time soon.

Tune into @Rossputin on 850 KOA to hear about @JeffcoSchoolsCo $136 million over budgeting crisis and $43 million error now removed from revenue 38 projects with cost overruns of $500,000. No yearly audits as promised in the bond language and a massive lack of documentation.

"Sustaining these crisis responses through the next phase of the pandemic will likely require shifts in funding and staff, as well as changes in policies governing everything from teacher credentialing to the definition of school."

7 out of 10 top high school SAT mean scores were charter schools. A lot of hard work going on during last school year. Most of the charters remained in person learning.

Liberty Common High School did it again! Top SAT scores in the state (mean score of 1301) followed by D'Evelyn high school with 1269. Congratulations to the students, faculty and administrations!

I thought my tax dollars were there to fund a student's education. They are for the schools? My bad.

Should your tax dollars keep funding public schools? This week on #FromTheKitchenTable #podcast, @SeanDuffyWI & @RCamposDuffy speak to Corey DeAngelis on the power imbalance between the public-school monopoly, teachers' unions, and individual families.  link.chtbl.com/duffys?sid=fnr…

That data should be released later this month.

"District- and school-level data will be released at the end of the month." I will be interested in participation rates and test results between schools that remained in person and those that went remote only.

What are you getting for your tax $$? Fund the students.

We have some news... With our growing following and volunteers we have decided to create a 501c3 non-profit in addition to our 501c4 non-profit! (Official announcement coming soon!) With a 501c3 non-profit donations are tax-deductible and we would have the ability to...

Not if students choose other options. Then employee/student ratio might be appropriate.

I kind of assumed this had to be the case because of low staffing everywhere. The ripple effect through schools could be be massive.

Parents should demand a tax refund and use it for their choice of education options.

An LAUSD charter school that opened today turned students away because their Covid test results haven’t come back yet. LAUSD’s testing policy is going to cause a disaster when the rest of the schools open.

Enough is enough. Refund tax money so families can make their own decisions.

We regret to inform you, it will NOT be a normal school year.

"What’s perhaps most notable about this year’s session, particularly at such a politically polarizing time in this country, is that charter school advocates were able to achieve proactive and defensive wins in all manner of states (i.e., blue, red, and purple)."

This year has proved promising for positive charter school bills as well as stopping or mitigating negative charter school bills. Here's what it might mean for charter schools across the country 👇 publiccharters.org/latest-news/20…
