Cast photo of “Get stuffed” being performed this week at Edinburgh! Well done to all the students and staff involved in this fantastic show.
So fed up with @British_Airways With young family on train GLA to London. Train now cancelled at Birmingham. We were all booked BA GLA to LHR. No support from BA at GLA. Left to own devices. Food run out on train. Children struggling. Very angry. No idea when we will get home!
Why oh why oh why do they make it so hard to train and recruit them? If providers didn’t have their hands tied with such silly bureaucracy they’d have time for the things that matter. It’s bewildering when you look at how complicated they’ve made it to become a teacher.
43% of physics trainees recruited is a real problem - particularly when you consider the secondary demographic bulge that’s coming DfE misses its own teacher training recruitment targets | Tes tes.com/news/dfe-misse…
Contract signed. New job. Almost a year since I had to leave a job I loved. Lucky to now have another one to love as well. I’ve been busy with my consultancy business in the meantime and that’s been fun. Learnt so much and that won’t be wasted. Things can only get better. 🎵

This report by Adrian Bethune is full of really important reminders of why teachers teach, what the fundamentals of teaching are and why we need to push back on the current system that doesn't give us the time or the breathing space to do all of these vitals things.
