It’s been a delight and privilege to direct a group of @WorcCathedral choristers on this week’s @KSWMusicSchool tour. They have sung movements of Britten’s Ceremony of Carols with real vigour and finesse at concerts in some amazing venues in Paris - one for the memory bank 🇫🇷
An absolute privilege to take three @KSWMusicSchool students to observe the magnificent Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer playing for tonight’s evening mass at Saint-Sulpice. The heritage of that organ, coupled with the continued magnificence of performance, is something very special.
Paris Day 3. Sacre Coeur, Montmatre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, and a concert at Temple de Batignolle which had a stunning acoustic and small, but very appreciative, audience! @WorcCathMusic @KingsWorcester

Paris day 2. Some of our @WorcCathMusic boy choristers and @njfreestone have just enjoyed the breathtaking medieval glass in Sainte-Chapelle.
Very much enjoyed seeing Tár today - a real tour-de-force with supreme performances. Whilst I knew of some of what to expect in the plot, I had no idea that this man’s cello concerto would feature so prominently! (Yes, this is a v old pic!)
Join us tomorrow, Thursday 2 February, for a beautiful organ recital at 12.15pm 🎵🎵🎵 In a change to the scheduled line-up, tomorrow's performance will be given by our own Director of Music, Samuel Hudson. There will then be a week's break before the spring series continues
A wonderful evensong at @GlosCathedral, sung by the Chamber Choirs of the three schools attached to @3choirs cathedrals - congratulations to all involved! …and all that after calling in on Gloucestershire’s other glorious church building for a catch-up 😍

A superb night at the Huntington Hall seeing @ZaltzCricket’s Satirist for Hire show. Too many highlights to mention, but will continue to giggle at the segment about Derek Randall, Miley Cyrus and Angus Fraser’s off-cutter for a very long time. #cricketnichehumour

The next @WorcesterOrgan event is tomorrow @WorcCathedral on Sat 14 Jan 11am. The 2nd event to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Cesar Franck; a presentation in the Undercroft by Richard Brasier, and a recital of works by Franck on the Tickell Quire organ. Admission free.
They let me loose on local radio again…! Such a delight to have the Quire Organ back (with thanks to @nicholsonorgans for their wonderful work) and we’re keeping it busy with a number of events this month! …including tomorrow’s #Franck200 event - come and join us!
