It should go without saying but the Ukrainians should not agree to any proposed localised ceasefire around Kyiv or Chernihiv that would allow Russian men and materiel to withdraw in good order. Especially around Kyiv where there is a genuine possibility of Russian encirclement.

The Ukrainians have had time to get into positions inside Kyiv. If the Russians are trying to make a large push tonight, it’s going to be some ugly urban fighting.
I mentioned this to some people, but from what I have seen, Ukrainian morale at all levels is pretty high. Especially among the civilian population as well.
