Open-Source JavaCard development. Writing code and building a community. Trying to make smart card applications more common and useful.
Presentation on "Advanced SIM topics: SCP02, OTA, ARA-M, ISIM" tomorrow 20:00 CET at #osmocom developer meeting OsmoDevCall osmocom.org/news/182 - attendance free of charge / open to the interested public.
Looking to implement SIM toolkit applications? Our project offers a collection of JavaCard export files for ETSI specifications so that you don't have to find them for yourself. Our collection covers SIM, USIM and ISIM with a wide range of versions. github.com/OpenJavaCard/e…

Looking forward to @tnt presenting tomorrows #OsmoDevCall (osmocom developer call) on his work creating an ISO7816 smart card interface FPGA softcore osmocom.org/news/146 - participation is open to the interested public.
Our project has received a sample of these cards. We will add them to our testing pool, make sure we provide everyone with the right JavaCard export files and also submit the card to JCAlgTest. Many thanks to @sysmocom for providing samples.
today we announce availability of our next-generation programmable SIM card: sysmoISIM-SJA2. Now with support for ISIM (VoLTE/IMS) and 5G, as well as pre-installed ARA-M applet: sysmocom.de/news/sysmoISIM…
You can improve your smart card usability by including an NDEF tag that redirects users to your smartphone app or website. To do this you can use our NDEF applet, which already has several commercial users. #javacard github.com/OpenJavaCard/o…

Many #JavaCard applications want to make use of #GlobalPlatform APIs, but finding the right export file can be a chore. We now offer a repository containing all of them so that they can be included as a git submodule. github.com/OpenJavaCard/g…

The project now has bound paper copies of all ISO7816 specifications. Getting these took quite an effort. Glad that #globalplatform and others offer free PDF download. Ask us if you need specific information that we can cite legally.
The #JavaCard ecosystem is small and conservative, but open development can open new opportunities. We recommend this blog article by former Oracle insider Eric Vétillard for some valuable insight. javacard.vetilles.com/2016/05/09/jav…
If any smartcard supplier is reading this and you would like to see your cards tested and added, please contact us. We are also always looking for the results from any JavaCard still missing in jcalgtest.org database
Many thanks to JavaCardOS @java_card for supporting us with sample cards to test and improve JavaCard open-source library #JCMathLib github.com/OpenCryptoProj…. New cards soon to be added. Use ECPoint and BigInteger operations without proprietary APIs
Looking forward to @CardisConf collecting all of their proceedings in one place. They have a lot of in-depth research relevant to #javacard development. cardis.org/proceedings.ht…
We have been compiling a list of books on JavaCard and smart card development. Looking for further suggestions and other reading tips. openjavacard.org/devguide/books…

We would like to point out the following project by Petr Svenda (@rngsec). It is a collection of algorithm support and performance data for most common JavaCard devices. Very useful for research and development. fi.muni.cz/~xsvenda/jcalg…
With OSS technology we could all participate in a review. With FIPS certifications nobody does.

Been trying to post the following link with some interesting JavaCard security issues for days. Twitter spam-censors the link due to bad SSL or something. No time to waste on this:
