I'm mentally in a space where adoption would be my preferred choice of motherhood, due to various reasons. Most importantly, I now understand that legacy lies in the way ur children feel abt you. Not in the gene. I may have a biological one, maybe, but that's a lateral choice.

Something I've noticed in the Indian public and service sector (law, medicine) is that ppl have very regressive thoughts abt hair colour, tattoos & piercings. It's just sad. One's personal bodily choices should never be a measure of their professional capabilities & commitment!

As someone who enjoys getting into the depths of different mythological tales, from norse to Chinese, I find it unsettling that I can't discuss Indian mythology openly anymore coz of the far right claiming them to be history. The joy of enjoying stories for what it is is at loss.
