Trump, Vance & others either have forgotten or never knew that Zelensky signed a ceasefire agreement with Putin in 2019. Three years later, Putin launched his full-scale invasion. So, signing another ceasefire with no security guarantees feels like suicide for Ukrainians.

It was wrong to believe that 'saving the economy' was an alternative to 'saving people's lives’. If anything it is the other way around and the two goals go together so that countries that kept the health impact of the pandemic lower suffered smaller economic consequences.

>1M people vaccinated Less than have had 10 allergic reactions So, <1 in 100K Remember about 1 in 2,000 courses of penicillin leads to allergic reaction 1 in 200 folks have had anaphylaxis to meds at some point Yes lets sort out cause of vaccine rxns But perspective helpful
This is part of a dangerous trend in reporting each allergic reaction as news. A million people have been vaccinated. A few had allergic reactions. All turned out fine. More will occasionally happen. They don’t all need headlines. It inaccurately skews perception of risk.
The federal budget deficit was $587 billion in 2016. It is over $3.1 trillion today. And Republicans have the nerve to pretend to care about the deficit now that you need money to survive.
If Republicans are suddenly so concerned about government spending after their years of corrupt giveaways, I have a great solution for them. Let’s repeal the $2 TRILLION GOP tax scam from ‘17 to pay for a whole slew of proposals that actually help working people. Done ✅

This @NYTOpinion editorial is a huge deal—a refutation of the debunked trickle-down dependence on tax cuts and an embrace of the theory of growth I've been promoting for years: Raise America's wages now. nytimes.com/2020/11/28/opi…

The nation, and the Democratic Party, desperately needs a replacement for the tired story that tax cuts drive economic growth.
This is very well done.
HERE IS THE PLAN TO GET US OUT OF THIS #COVID19 WAR • NO lockdowns • NO waiting for vaccines • Reverses cases in weeks A true public health approach focused on the ppl To end the public health *WAR* we are in. RAPID At-Home COVID Testing for All ti.me/3kEGOoM
Even worse: We spent TRILLION on weapons against people on Mars but can't mobilize/accelerate deployment of testing/vaccination at a Yuuuuuuge cost of economic output. Governments (over)spend money in the wrong places.
The United States has spent about one TRILLION dollars on the Afghanistan war. Imagine how much good could be done with that money here at home instead of continuing to fight and kill overseas. End the war.
The US nation is its land and corporations .. people, what's that?
