Standalone @NxDevTools apps are pretty cool, this is something that I've wanted for a while. Nx has a ton of benefits outside of purely monorepo use cases, so I'm stoked to see it rolled out.

Agreed 100%. Back in the day , even when there was only going to be 1 app, I still developed it as monorepo. Only to get benefits from using @NxDevTools. Good to have flexibility now.
