Before, I was in a shit spot in my life - Skinny, fat, depressed, in an unhappy marriage, and unsure of my purpose in life. Then, I woke up and said fuck this shit. I split with my ex-wife, took control of my career, and hit the gym. #transoformationtuesday

The enhanced recovery thing on PEDs is greatly over-exaggerated. I have all my natty trainers doing the exact same programs as the enhanced ones. The only significant differences between between how I train the two is food. Enhanced guys can eat more withoug getting fat.

Is there a real difference between berberine and metformin? Both can improve insulin sensitivity by affecting how your body handles glucose, which is why some guys use them in the offseason when food and carbs are high. Metformin is a prescription drug with a lot of research…

When I want to get better at something I listen to the people who have done it at a high level and done it well. Why would you take advice on being successful from someone who hasn’t accomplished it? Choose your mentors wisely. It’s an investment in your future.

So you want an evidence-based approach on how to get jacked and ripped. I give you 60 years of high-level bodybuilding and a cohort of tens of thousands of people who have done it well. Why do people look elsewhere when the evidence is right in front of them?

Bodybuilding version 2025. A bunch of nerds on social media arguing about who is the most right about being jacked and ripped who are neither jacked or ripped. At least the idiots on the boards back in the day were big. How did we get here?

Carbs are a bodybuilding super-food. They improve your performance in the gym and make you look better on stage. They spare protein, increase insulin & IGF1 - lower APMK & raise MTOR. All vital things for growth. Don’t fear carbs if you want to be huge, full and ripped.

Is meal timing really that important for building muscle? In the grand scheme of things, meal timing mostly matters because you want to give your body time to digest before you throw another big meal on top — especially in the offseason when you’re eating a lot to grow. But as…

I know this is going to piss some bros off, but here it goes anyway. If one set to failure fucks you up so bad you need a full week to recover, something is seriously wrong. If human physiology was really that fragile, we wouldn’t have made it this far.

Bodybuilding is the only endeavor where some people have convinced themselves that working less leads to better results. It’s bizarre how they think working too hard is holding them back. How many people do you see in the gym who look like they are at risk of going too hard?

About haters. If you would never ask for their advice, you should also never listen to their criticisms. Why is it that the people who have accomplished the least always have the most to say?

For my older bros: skip constant failure sets. They significantly increase injury risk and recovery takes longer; keeping you away from training. Pick smarter exercises with relatively low CNS fatigue, train hard (but not to failure) and watch the gains add up. This is for…

How much muscle can you really gain in a steroid cycle? Age, nutrition, training intensity, recovery, and genetics all play a role. If you’re an intermediate lifter, a realistic pace is around 5–10 lb of muscle per year on average. Bodybuilding is a marathon, not a…

Gym Pet Peeves - Super-Setting when it’s busy. - Hour long hip thrusts on the smith machine. - Texting while I am waiting for the machine. - Not racking your weights. - Using 5 pairs of dumbbells simultaneously. - Not letting me work in when I ask. You know who you are. 😂

My hat is off to anyone who finishes a contest prep and steps on the bodybuilding stage. It doesn’t matter where you placed. You just did something 99% of people could never do. Congrats. You are a bad ass.
