McDermott questioned what the fans were questioning, and he took the fall.

"Considering most teams believe they are stocked full of talent"

The Bills not posting Sean's message on their own account + diminishing his 9 years to 'admirable' + spelling admirable wrong in their statement is three levels of disrespect that were not deserved.

“We Love You!  We will miss Buffalo. Bills Mafia, you are one of one!” A classy statement from Sean McDermott following his surprising exit from Buffalo:

With one interview on April 28, 2025, Bills GM Brandon Beane erased a tremendous amount of good will he’d built in his first eight seasons with a large portion of #BillsMafia. Once affectionately known as “Big Baller Beane,” Beane’s approval rating has fallen off a cliff. I’ve…

Yet the person who built the roster got a promotion

Not with the weakest roster that they’ve had in the Josh Allen era. There are only three blue-chip players (Allen, Cook and Dawkins) on the Bills. Historically, it takes 8-12 blues to win a title. The Super Bowl expectations were always unrealistic. No QB can overcome those…

I’ve read this tweet 30 times @Matt_Bove Pain.

Since drafting Josh Allen in 2018, the Bills have drafted 56 players. 2 of them (James Cook and Dawson Knox) have made Pro Bowls.

Bills be like damn this dude fucking sucks at his job. Promote him

Bills promoted Brandon Beane and added the title of President of Football Operations to go along with general manager, and he now will oversee all facets of the organization.

It’s a sad day.

Beane got a promotion after this?

A roster that is living on the edge of cap compliance in 2026 should not have this few needle movers.

I cannot wait for our Promoted GM to get behind that Mic. For those in that room, I hope y'all come With it!!

To be fair, reference the overlap of the team above lol

Per ESPN Research: only four teams (Super Bowl era) have won a playoff game in six consecutive seasons: 1991-1996 Cowboys (Won 3 Super Bowls) 2011-2018 Patriots (Won 3 Super Bowls) 2018-2024 Chiefs (Won 3 Super Bowls) 2020-2025 Bills (did not play in a single Super Bowl)

I’ve been critical of McDermott for a while and thought change should occur … but Brandon Beane is more responsible for what transpired this year and he gets a promotion? He’s the reason they can’t get over the hump

Terry Pegula announces not only is Sean McDermott out as head coach, but Brandon Beane has been promoted to President of Football Operations/General Manager and will oversee the coaching staff — a new vertical reporting structure.

The coach made a team with what he had. The GM gets promoted because of the coach.

Wait wait so the GM stays after all these non talented rosters and absolutely NO HELP for Josh on offense or defense lol only in THE NFL

Bills general manager Brandon Beane now will lead Buffalo’s search for a new head coach.

I can’t.

Beane got promoted. Holy shit.

Man…I was not watching the Bills lose this weekend and thinking about the coaching. I was thinking *a lot* about the state of the roster.

McDermott had his issues no Doubt but moving on from him & not Beane doesn’t make much sense. Go all in on cleaning house and starting fresh or actually retool the roster for once. This feels like McDermott was made to be the scape goat while ignoring a huge piece of the problem.
