Reminder: there is a Winamp Skin Museum where you can see 80,000 archived Winamp skins (and use them). There was an era of Y2k hyper-maximalist design, before Apple mandated minimalism in everything. UI design had a lot more room for self-expression. It's art.

This is some of my favorite advice for junior engineers - it’s always worth it to do a pass over your PR as if you were reviewing it. You’ll find things you missed (console.logs, every time). And if you can anticipate q’s the next reviewer will ask and answer ahead of time?😙👌

Cases where you can sit down and focus singlemindedly on a fairly well-understood problem are the exception, not the norm. At npm, we call those “typing problems”, because the work is just typing. Thinking problems are harder. Talking problems are hardest.
