The abrupt em dash interruption is actually how I figured out the reveal extra early in htn, esp with the additional knowledge of 2nd POV, either the narrator is referring to you (as the reader), or another character is living vicariously through unreliable narration 💀
my favorite part of htn is harrow nearly always incorrectly referring to the pommel as the “end” or “bottom” or “butt” of the hilt/sword/rapier, and the narration always corrects her
