When you come to the Bible, you need to shake your mind free from human political or ideological categories--liberal, socialist, conservative, populist. The Bible does not fit fully in any of them, and you should not be trying to read the Bible through those kinds of glasses.
'Be merciful to those who doubt" (Jude 22). Far too many churches have not obeyed this biblical text and as a result have produced not converts but skeptics.
