the people in the camp of “but this saves time” should really re-evaluate the purpose that designer was built for. one entirely node-based, highly curated “master material” for any surface has more diverse re-use potential than any of this muddy schlock.

better idea: develop an actual game and stop trying to think you can frontload everything onto ai. dont act like this is all for the sake of letting developers focus more on storytelling when all of the game's art assets are trained on pre-existing material.
