BREAKING: The NLRB has just hit Starbucks with a massive, unprecedented lawsuit covering nine months of union-busting in Buffalo. Corporate surveillance, threats, captive audience meetings, and illegal firings are all covered. The NLRB is demanding fired workers get rehired.

I asked @Sen_JoeManchin about the coal brokerage firm he founded: "You'd be best to change the subject, I think."

MANCHIN asked by @AriNatter whether an energy company he founded is a conflict of interest as he negotiates reconciliation: MANCHIN: "I've been in a blind trust for 20 years, I have no idea what they're doing. Ari: You're still getting dividends. MANCHIN: "You got a problem?"

Seems worth noting that when Petraeus says Biden could have held back the Taliban at a sustainable cost in "blood," he means the president could have sustained a stalemate in a civil war at a cost of 10,000+ Afghan army/civilian deaths a year. (Afghans apparently do not bleed)

On Friday night, I came to the Capitol with my chair. I refused to accept that Congress could leave for vacation while 11 million people faced eviction. For 5 days, we’ve been out here, demanding that our government acts to save lives. Today, our movement moved mountains.

I find it amusing when politicians try to diminish the seriousness of our policy work, movement organizing & grassroots fundraising to “she just tweets,” as though “serious” politics is only done by begging corporate CEOs for money through wax-sealed envelopes delivered by raven

Why do we listen to people who lost elections as if they are experts in winning elections? McCaskill tried her approach. She ran as a caravan-hysteria Dem& lost while grassroots organizers won progressive measures in MO. Her language here shows how she took her base for granted.
