Internet was down. Technician came. In 2 min he asked for access to a "comms room". No clue and left. Rebook, another technician came. Told him the story. He asked "Is he a contractor" ? How do I know? "That's how that work." In 30 min my internet was back, no comms room needed.
What I often see is mature company trying to get a zero-to-one PM, as leadership was unhappy with the latest progress, missing the good old days of being a hacky startup, imagining they will make the team more "start-up-ty" again by hiring that few people. WRONG.
