Society will convince you that your curiosity is chaos. That your diverse interests make you unemployable. That you're a "jack of all trades, master of none" Don't listen to them. The world is changing, and it will be ruled by the connectors.


"Plain-text emails look unprofessional." No, they look personal. When done well, plain-text emails can outperform flashy designs by creating a real connection.


"If your open rates are low, you need better subject lines." Maybe, but often the real problem is you’re sending the wrong emails to the wrong people. Fix your audience first.


"Email is dead." No, your strategy is. Email drives higher ROI than any other channel—when done right. Blame your boring, irrelevant campaigns, not the channel.


Email personalization’ isn’t adding a first name in the subject line. It’s using segmentation to deliver emails so relevant, customers feel like they were written just for them. Lazy marketers stick with names. Smart marketers segment.
