. @repmorgan’s Parents Bill of Rights Act is ill-intentioned, and I doubt any teacher/student in the State of Rhode Island would agree with the implementation of this bill. I am DISGUSTED.

Tonight the RI General Assembly passed the RI Uniform Parentage Act. This act ensures that RI’s parenting laws are clear, equitable, and provide legal protection for all families, including LGBTQIA+ families.

29% of transgender people report that a doctor or other health care provider has flat-out refused to see them because of their actual or perceived gender identity.
On this day in 1976, Rhode Island held its first LGBTQ Pride parade in Providence. Although the parade isn’t able to go on as planned this month, I’ve been proud to march in @Pride_RI for many years and look forward to its return.

When I came out at my previous job, my boss and I marched in the @Pride_RI parade together. But not everyone is as great @JimLangevin. So thankful all #LGBTQ Americans are now free to be themselves at work without fear of losing their job.
