A Neal Morse afternoon … Was listening to an interview for the new NMB album and how the band came together in the studio with nothing written. Neal was up at 3am every day, wrote a song from scratch which the band then rehearsed and recorded later that day. Amazing fellow.
Now playing … One of this year’s highlights. Featuring the late 70s/early 80s Peter Gabriel rhythm section of drummer Jerry Marotta and bassist Tony Levin. Not unlike Gabriel’s most recent work.
Now playing … The Norwegian outfit’s recently released fourth album and their best to date IMHO. Energetic and just a little eccentric, but well worth a listen.
Today’s gym buddy … Given the hate that James La Brie seems to collect - many of it from DT fans - and given that at 62 he’s got the toughest gig in the band, I think he sounds superb on this recording.
