Fantastic study, if a little depressing. Only 2/3 of SpRs able to do an ectopic (lap salpingectomy), bigger procedures even worse. Anecdotally at least, this is mirrored across the Irish sea. Not exactly sure how we fix this though. Well done Daniel et al.!

Unfortunately, I feel that root and branch change in the perception of surgical gynaecology is required across the country. Surgery in women's health outside of oncology is considered to be low priority and as the majority of cases are benign 1/
