When we express gratitude in a Nonviolent Communication way: - make it clear to the other person what they did that enriched your life - how you feel right now, when you think about that - and what need of yours was fulfilled.
Making peace with oneself is a hallmark of deeply transformative therapies. Peace is not about the end of pain; it is about not going to war against pain and suffering and instead receiving these experiences as they are, with a kind inclination of the heart.

There is something special about sitting with others in silence, mindfulness and compassion. There are so many ways to do this today, via Zoom. It can be even simpler. If you and a friend just sit together in silence and good will for a few minutes, something becomes possible.
