⠀ Movies. A good topic; a safe topic. 〝 Duh! I recently sat through Little Monsters from 1989, it's supposed to be a kids movie and all, sure, but it's got some sick body horror near the end. 〞 ⠀

⠀ 〝 Yeah, I'll be fine. 〞 He actually has half a mind to run headfirst into a wall, as a means to tell him to knock it the hell off. 〝 Ugh, let's just talk about something else. Get my mind off of it. 〞 ⠀
ㅤ 「 Are you positive you don't want me to at least /see/ what that demon is doing..? 」 ㅤ
⠀ 〝 Not a clue... 〞He murmured, his voice just slightly strained. 〝 Either way, it's annoying. 〞 ⠀
ㅤ 「 ..what would even make someone's throat burn like that..? 」 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤHe stands up fully, putting a hand to his chin. ㅤ
⠀ 〝 Y—yes, I'm sure, 〞 he says; rolling his eyes. 〝 I'll be fine. 〞 ⠀
⠀ A shake of his head, before rasping: 〝 /I'll/ talk to him later. 〞 As much as he dislikes this current pain situation, he's not about to let Pharaoh go and piss him off, or whatever. ⠀
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤHe notices, of course. 「 ..do you want me to go... "speak" to him? 」 ㅤ
⠀ He pulls a face, indicating that, yes, he had spoken too soon. But he's not going to admit that, he's just... trying to suck it up. And not cough. God it burns. ⠀
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤPharaoh rolls his eyes, and the pain kicks up again. Speaking too soon is a detriment to robot masters. ㅤ
⠀ Another shrug—it makes enough sense; or maybe he's just doing it to the both of them. That's also an option. Only, he doesn't say that. 〝 Well, /whatever/ the hell it was, I just hope that was it. 〞 ⠀
ㅤ 「 /Oh./ So he's not doing anything to /you,/ he's doing something to /himself./ Even though he knows you two have this bond... 」 ㅤ
⠀ This causes Proto to raise a brow—his head tilting to one side curiously. 〝 Honestly, I doubt even he knows what happened. But it's just some kind of weird, pain-link between us. 〞 He snorts. 〝 It's gotta be hell for him, though. With all the fights I get into. 〞 ⠀
ㅤ 「 I-I meant... what did you mean by /demon stuff?/ That has to mean he /did something to you./ 」 ㅤ
⠀ 〝 Probably something stupid. 〞 He shrugs soon after. Part of him can't really be mad because he's usually out... getting his ass kicked. Yet at the same time, what /was/ that?? 〝 ... It's fine now, though. 〞 ⠀
⠀ He's quiet for a few moments before straightening back up, a hand lightly touching his throat as he clears it. The feeling is receding, but he can still /feel/ the soreness. 〝 Ugh... just demon-stuff. 〞 That's the best he can explain it, anyhow. ⠀
ㅤ 「 ..how odd. What's causing it, do you think..? 」 ㅤ
⠀ 〝 I can never tell with you, 〞 he mutters offhandedly, shaking his head as he waves his hand a little. 〝 Just—gimme a minute, it'll go away. 〞 What the hell causes throat burning anyway—or, more importantly, the hell is that demon /doing/? ⠀
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤHe sinks a bit lower to the ground, rolling his eyes. 「 I was making fun of you. Do you know if I can help in any way? 」 ㅤ
⠀ 〝 I haven't /eaten/ anything in a while— 〞 his expression is a look of clear discomfort. 〝 And, yes, my throat generally doesn't /burn/ when doing that. 〞 ⠀
ㅤ 「 ..your... throat burns. And yet, with your diet, this is a first? 」 ㅤ
⠀ Holding up a hand, in a sort of "hold on" motion. Why is he coughing so much? 〝 H—hold on— 〞 cough. 〝 My throat. Burns. 〞 Huh??? ⠀
ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤJust kinda... staring down at him. 「 What's /what?/ 」 ㅤ
