social change is happening. we started out with the Ring doorbells, but we will end up with 100% surveillance but not state directed, organic, decentralized. Not a panopticon as it doesn’t (yet) lead back to a single viewer.

like 20% of people at the conference yesterday were wearing these fancy AI mic amulets. You cannot trash talk anywhere anymore. What a hell

Is GitHub down for real? 😂

Take some time to appreciate the marvels of electricity and plumbing

Anybody managed to get an SDR dongle working under parallels?

I have got the feeling that over the past two weeks or so, autocomplete on Cursor has gotten worse 🤔

Liquid glass is garbage. Now they just gave us the ability to increase opacity and add more contrast. Hopefully we’ll soon be able to just disable it entirely. Control Centre can’t be looked at.

this is especially prevalent in ADHD btw you can view ADHD as a disorder/difficulty in loop management the mind keeps opening new loops while struggling to park or close old ones (dopaminergic dysregulation), so the loops continuously draw cognitive & attentional bandwidth away

Nothing builds up resentment and envy like not having a clear goal to work on every day.

Is it normal that power meters are so damn inaccurate in their measurements or is it me using it wrong? Real time usage is just off.

When working with multiple screens, the Mac OS dock keeps moving every once in a while from one monitor to the other, in an (apparently) random fashion. Does it happen to anybody else?

Code cleanup.

The merchants of complexity don't want you to learn about simple solutions that scale. x.com/isamlambert/st…

Until ~2015, GitHub Pages hosted over 2 million websites on 2 servers with a multi-million-line nginx.conf, edited and reloaded per deploy. This worked incredibly well, with github.io ranking as the 140th most visited domain on the web at the time.

Europe doesn’t lack ideas. It lacks permission to move fast! Entrepreneurs should be celebrated, not slowed down - because when businesses can compete and innovate, everyone wins. We're backing @euinc_petition to help Europe rediscover its competitive edge.
