Building in public Progress with my portfolio website. a) Implemented debouncing to like button so that a user cant spam like button. b) Also implemented rate limiting using ip tracking inside like project server action, which limits an ip to only allow 5 likes / 5 mutations.

✅ Implemented img and gif upload to @uploadthing @t3dotgg using nextjs. Also implemented a utility when img is uploaded on the uploadthing,before that it will be converted to webp with a compression, resulting improved performance on load time.

✅ Implementing webp conversion in my website. -WebP offers significant compression advantages over both PNG and JPEG, resulting in smaller file sizes while maintaining comparable or even better visual quality. About 30-40 % less size on avg.

Successfully implemented #tanstack #query data caching to reduce server requests and for improved performance. This also helps in serving better user experience.
it took me 30 mins to debug that "values.techStackImg" should be above "values.techStackTags" in sequence wise, typescript making me mad....
In my project i achieved good improvement in speed and performance by simply replacing useEffect with useLayoutEffect (depending upon situation). Read more about it here - react.dev/reference/reac…
