2593: Ystrad Rhondda. Alphabetically, the very last station on the network. This is a title it has maintained since 26th November 1951 following the closure of Ystradowen. With that, after three and a half years, Every Station Bot terminates here. Thank you!

2593: Newsham. With an apt name, Newsham is presently Britain's newest railway station. The station comes with the reopening of the Northumberland Line which will see Northumberland Park added to the national rail network with Bedlington and Blyth Bebside.

2592: Seaton Delaval. The station opened with Ashington on the reopened Northumberland Line. The station uses the three letter code SEJ in a similar fashion to Soham using SOJ. The codes SEA, SET, SEN, SED, SEE and SEV are all in use at other stations.

2591: Ashington. Opened originally as Hirst for Ashington in 1872, the station adopted the name Ashington in 1889. The station closed in November of 1964, reopened as the terminus of the Northumberland Line in December 2024.

2590: Ashley Down. Opened under the same MetroWest initiative as Portway Park & Ride. Ashley Down opening is part of a larger plan to reopen Henbury and North Filton stations on the Henbury Loop line and operate either as a spur or loop service.

2589: Leven. The station is the terminus of the Levenmouth Rail Link which had been closed to passengers since 1969. Leven previously had a station at a different site on a coastal route which ran to Leuchars via Crail and St. Andrews.

2588: Cameron Bridge. The present day station is sited 300 metres east of the original station site. What remained of the former station, adjacent to a distillery, was removed for the new rail alignment to be constructed.

2587: Thanet Parkway. Opened in July 2023 as one of the newest parkway stations on the network. In a different timeline, under early proposals for the station, it could have opened in the 2010s as Manston Airport, serving the airport and a new housing development.

2586: Portway Park & Ride. Prior to the station opening in August 2023, it was suggested that the station could open with the much more alliterative name Portway Parkway. The station opened as part of the MetroWest initiative to improve rail transport around Bristol.

2585: Marsh Barton. On the south side of Exeter, this 2023 station offers immediate access to the River Exe and a number of parks adjacent to it. The station had been planned for construction as far back as 2017 with an aim to open it in December of that year.

2584: Headbolt Lane. The new terminus of the Kirkby Branch Line and the Kirkby branch of the Northern Line on the Merseyrail network. The station boasts three platforms compared to the two, now one at Kirkby station.

2583: East Linton. Opened originally as Linton in 1846, the station closed in May 1964 before reopening in December 2023. The station is served by Scotrail with services to Dunbar and Transpennine Express on services operating between Edinburgh and Newcastle.

2582: Brent Cross West. Opened in December 2023. The station occupies the site of the former Cricklewood TMD. The station was delivered as part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood development scheme. The station footbridge also offers a new foot crossing over the Midland Main Line.

2581: Bond Street. The Elizabeth Line station is the third station to open at Bond Street with the Jubilee Line platforms opening in 1979 and the Central Line platforms opening in 1900. The station offers a swift route to the Victoria Line via the Hanover Square gateline.

2580: Barking Riverside. The terminus of the Suffragette Line, replacing Barking as terminus of the Goblin Line as it was colloquially known. The station opened in the 18th July 2022, coinciding with an intense heatwave which would bring temperatures above 40°C the next day.

2579: Canary Wharf. Opened in May 2022, 13 years after construction broke ground at the site. In 2010, then Transport Minister Sadiq Khan activated pumps to remove 100,000 tonnes of water from the work site. The station opened during Sadiq Khan's tenure as London Mayor.

Hi Everyone, as we approach the last station on the list, anticipate a number of posts today to catch up on stations that were acknowledged at the time of opening but could not be fit into the running order. ^CE


2578: Ystrad Mynach. A junction south of the station lead to the freight only Cwmbargoed branch which saw its last trains run in 2024. The station typically sees four trains per hour in each direction with destinations including Rhymney, Barry Island, Bargoed and Bridgend.

2577: Yorton. Alphabetically, the last station in England. The Welsh Marches line station is served exclusively by Transport for Wales with an off peak service every two hours between Shrewsbury and Crewe. Yorton is a request stop on these services.
