Is a slow process: If apps in LPG, MGNREGS, pensions, scholarships, etc. take off, then other depts will follow suit..
First time govt has clearly said Aadhaar No = PoI and PoA. Hope more will follow, and hope UIDAI will get cracking on enrolling the ID-less
I'm told that Aadhaar = PoI and PoA for opening a/c's. If current address has changed, need added proof. Wish RBI would clarify to banks.
RBI first said that for 'small' a/c's, Aadhaar = KYC; in trying to expand that to ALL a/c's, RBI created confusion by asking for added PoA.

UID isn't giving 'identity' to anyone - as they are born with it! What it gives is a nationally acceptable personal identification number.
