Does anyone write at the grand, mythic level of Tolkien anymore? Anything as beautiful and eloquent as The Lord of the Rings? I’m so tired of wandering Barnes & Noble only to find shallow, forgettable tales.
I love the long languid prose of Tolkien and Lovecraft, but I love the sparse brutal prose of McCarthy.
