What are things that work? Focusing on value generated for the business. Getting feedback from the team on what works & what doesn't. Eliminating biggest time wasters. Qualitative feedback. Investing in ways to create leverage for engineers. Iterating how the team/org works

Third, having gotten people focused on limited kinds of harm and panicked that those harms are ever-increasing, copaganda attempts to trick people into thinking that more $$ for police, prosecutors, and prisons is a magic solution. This is like climate science denial.

This is kind of funny. In Stranger Things 4 they apparently wanted to show some old HTML in a "hacking" scene, so they apparently looked up an old site on the @waybackmachine but accidentally ended up copying over the injected navigation panel instead of the actual page content

Admittedly I'm quite new here, but the revolving door of big tech company moves is something I can't rationalize. Every company ends up paying more for less experience and productivity, rather than paying similar to keep people. For employees making the moves, I get it.

Five years ago today, we banned the box. We no longer ask about criminal history on commonwealth job applications. This is a concerted effort to give people with past convictions a fair shot at employment.
