Theatres, a thought: can we please start referring to access offered rather than impairment that requires it. I’ve been encouraged to use captioning glasses due to audio processing difficulties, yet as I am not D/deaf or HoH, language really discourages me from asking for access.
Report from the front lines of being a bookshop: A woman walked in today and said "Saw your sign. Books by women! Can I ask a controversial question - are trans women women?” And we said “yes!” enthusiastically. She said “They aren’t are they? Anatomy is anatomy!”
I’m on a plane and the entire flight sat still so that a man in the last seat at the back of the plane could get off and run to his next flight to try to make it to his twin daughters’ first father daughter-dance. Everyone rooted him on and clapped as he rushed down the aisle. 🥰
