We hope our families and friends will join us and say a decade of the Rosary at 12 noon each day during May. We will focus on one mystery each week. Pope Francis has provided two prayers to Our Lady that you can recite at the end of the Rosary and these can be found below.
As we continue on our journey to become a Thinking School it’s rewarding to see students becoming more skilled in their use of metacognition. This example from a Year 9 Tracking Tests is impressive. Someone is certainly laying solid foundations for GCSE. #thinking #metacognition

Yesterday, as we celebrated the end of a very busy Catholic Schools Week our Student Faith Development Team led our Key Stage 3 students in prayer. It is inspiring to see our senior students step up and work to support the Faith Development of our junior students. #csw2020 @SJS41
As part of our focus on living in harmony with God’s creation during Catholic Schools Week Year 9 took part in a philosophical enquiry using the P4C Methodology. The question selected for enquiry was ‘How can we make sure everyone signs up to help stop Global Warming’ #CSW2020

We were delighted to host a ‘Under the Radar’ conference for A Level Religious Studies students today. Our guest speakers were Dr Andrew Pinsent, Research Director of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science& RE at Oxford Uni & Julie Arliss, teachers and founder of Academy Conferences
This evening our Senior Pioneers had a very successful trip along with @AcademyDgn to Belfast Christmas Markets followed by bowling. Lots of fun and new friendships made. #pioneers @SJS41
