‘FROZEN HELL’ - a short film

‘It was the first time all winter that Adam had gotten to play with his son Taylor. Little did either of them know, that they were being watched… gazed upon by something dreadful.’

Ben Affleck is spot on here and I know this may upset some friends/colleagues of mine in the AI space. AI COULD and I believe will be an invaluable VFX and virtual filmmaking tool. But it is not a one stop shop and more to the point, the audience does not want that either.

Interesting take on AI from Ben Affleck. These are the real conversations people need to have with those who are still so opposed to the promise of this technology, which isn't going anywhere. Enough with the constant arguing. Let's start making technology work for us and not…

I don’t know about you guys but we think this looks pretty good over here!

This is a really fabulous interview from one of the greatest producers of all time. Period. Seeing the level of shade and disrespect towards Kathleen Kennedy is really quite irksome. Not every film is going to work even we put every bit of ourselves into it.

Kathleen Kennedy is officially leaving Lucasfilm after 14 years. This will be her last week as head of the studio

I cannot wait to see! I’m a huge admirer of Nia DeCosta!

#28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple is following a movie that ultimately disappointed me. Luckily, this sequel is much more focused and is the experience I was hoping for. #TheBoneTemple #28YearsLater youtube.com/watch?v=34Q6vn…

I had the unbelievable privilege the other night in watching my dear friend and colleague Steve Key as Jerry on Broadway in Tracy Letts’ Bug. To watch him go toe to toe with Carrie Coon and Namir Smallwood was ferocious. An absolute triumph!

Damn!

i get my news from PsyopAnime "I know you're tired, but come, this is the way."

Really fascinating stuff here from my new colleague and friend @Kyrannio ! Great read!

I remember the first time I saw Werckmeister Harmonies, it wasn’t my introduction to Tarr but the film unlocked so many feelings I had about cinema and life, I so desperately been trying to sort out. This opening sequence, for me, is nourishing.

We really lost one of the GOATs…there will never be another Tarr. I’m so sad he’s gone but so grateful for the cinema he gave us.

Rip legend. I’ll forever cherish the memory of spending a day watching Sátántangó at the Aero followed by spending an hour of him doing one of the best in person Q&A’s I’ve ever had the opportunity to experience. Here’s some of his advice to young filmmakers from that evening

NO! What a blow… Béla Tarr was one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. His cinema redefined what I thought was possible. Devastating.

As we experiment, embrace and implement AI VFX and animation pipelines into our work, let’s remember the absolute geniuses and masters who came before us and create our stories accordingly!

Behind the scenes Akira (1988) animation process. Makes me appreciate this masterpiece even more
