The 2024 Spring Wheat Harvest is complete

Harvest 2023 is complete.

Spring Wheat harvest 2023 is complete. The yield and quality was better than I would have anticipated with the conditions we had this summer.

A shout out to a very dedicated crew.

The 2022 harvest is complete. We finished sugar beets last weekend, navy beans Monday, corn and soybeans today. It’s been a wild week doing corn and soybeans the last few days together. We had operators and iron scattered all over eastern Grand Forks County.

Finished re-seeding about one third of our navy beans yesterday. Last weekend’s wind was devastating on so many acres in the area. Planting beans this late wasn’t so much fun the second time.

We finally finished planting the 2022 crop. 26 days start to finish including 3+ inches of rain in between. We planted 99.9 % of the ground and re-seeded a little wheat after the hard rain.

Beet Harvest 2021 is complete !!!

Beet harvest 2021 has started.

Wheat harvest 2021 is complete. A lot of variability depending on previous crop. It’s good to be done.

Finished planting our 2021 crop yesterday. Now we wait to see if we had frost or wind damage.

Harvest 2020 is complete. A crop season in the rear view mirror.

Sugarbeet Harvest 2020 is complete. A record six days. What a difference from the past two years.

The 2020 wheat harvest is now complete. A much less than average crop, but what else would I expect with all of the issues that carried over from last fall and the excess rainfall in June and July.

The 2020 crop is planted, just in time for the rain. 20 days start to finish. A huge thank you to two neighbors who let us use some equipment when our’s was broke down. Two fields left to roll.

May 18, 2020. Just started tillage work today, hopefully planting seed tomorrow. Hopefully the sun and wind will allow the rigs to keep rolling.

The 2019 Harvest is finally complete, 108 days start to finish.

Finished planting the 2019 crop, 28 days start to finish.

We got the corn planter rolling today, still planting beets and wheat, plus five tillage tractors. Lots of dust flying today.

We started planting wheat and sugar beets today. Almost right on schedule with last year.
