Like so many artists, David Lynch didn’t just influence my work from an early age, he influenced my dreams, my subconscious, how I perceive the world. This is a monumental loss that's hard to fully express. Enjoy the great pie in the sky, good sir. #davidlynch #rip #loss

Beyond the deserved praise for the mind-crushingly complex action of "Furiosa," it's also a beautifully written and acted film. All the performances are great and precisely tuned to the world, but Chris Hemsworth's Dementus is the most surprising and delightful. #furiosa

The story of the weekend shouldn’t be how much (or little) "Furiosa" earns at the box office, but how 79-year-old George Miller made another astounding, singular, and subversive work of cinematic art in the age of homogenized studio blockbusters. #furiosa

OpenAI taking meetings with Hollywood studios and directors 2 WEEKS after their CTO dodged questions about data they clearly stole. Un-f*cking-believable.

OpenAI has scheduled meetings with Hollywood studios & talent agencies to encourage filmmakers & studios to use AI in their work. They have already opened their AI video-making software to a few big-name actors and directors. (Source: bloomberg.com/news/articles/…)

Praying to the gods of cinema to make it stop. It should be obvious to any regulator who witnessed the anti-consumer/worker outcome of Disney buying Fox that allowing any of the remaining direct competitors in Hollywood to combine would be a disaster. hollywoodreporter.com/business/busin…

Climbing from 10 to 8 on the Netflix US charts. Maybe with the holidays coming, everyone is realizing LEGION is actually an Xmas movie? #legionmovie #netlfix

Nothing like discovering a movie you made years ago is in the top ten on #Netflix. LEGION at #10 in Movies.

I love this idea!

I like this. If you kill an entire movie just for a tax write-off, it becomes public domain and anyone can screen it publicly. Because the taxpayers paid for it.

Not sure if it needed a sequel because IT FOLLOWS felt like a perfectly complete thought, but I can't wait to see this! The first firm is a stone cold classic.

It’s everywhere. THEY FOLLOW. The long-awaited sequel to the modern horror classic IT FOLLOWS from David Robert Mitchell. Coming soon.

Obviously the devil will be in the details, but I've never been more proud to be a member of @WGAWest than I am tonight. So grateful to everyone on the negotiating committee who guided us to this moment. Now it's @sagaftra's turn!

UNION STRONG!!!

The WGA and AMPTP have reached a tentative agreement. This was made possible by the enduring solidarity of WGA members and extraordinary support of our union siblings who stood with us for over 146 days. More details coming after contract language is finalized. #WGAStrike

As a member of both guilds, this is just gobsmacking. The DGA surely could use more people like the ones mentioned in leadership positions. Such utter bullshit.
