When you become disabled there’s a few things you notice right away: Ableism is everywhere. People will abandon you. Even those you were certain would stick by you. Just because something is illegal or against human rights code doesn’t mean it’s not happening ALL the time
Ideologically driven bullying in my opinion. They've gone out of their way to present nurse Rose Henderson as masculine and big ( Bethany is probably same height?) & I so recognise their behaviour as identical to homophobic bullies. They haven't campaigned for better facilities.
All the time people like this monster trans women & pretend to be threatened by them, while in reality they bully them, anti trans rhetoric lives on as a culture war distraction to the real causes of our problems. I loathe socialists & communists aligning with this cuntery.
You can't make ill children better by pressuring them into school when ill. You can't make ill staff better by pressuring them into work when ill. You can't reduce illness absence by encouraging people to "push through". You can't improve outcomes by fuelling harm. You can't.
So apparently being disabled is: trendy, fashionable and a lucrative career option! Who knew 🤷♀️

A former minister told the BBC it is easy to ‘game’ the PIP form based on knowing what to fill in This is untrue. PIP forms are not only notoriously difficult to fill in but require huge swaths of evidence - and even then many people don’t get what they are due until tribunal.
Liz Kendall has said about 10 times in this debate that existing claimants will be protected and not pushed into poverty. But has failed to mention the real risk that reassessment could bring #TakingThePIP
Let us be absolutely clear: If you vote for the Universal Credit and PIP Bill tomorrow, you are choosing to attack disabled people. Now, and worst of all in the future. You are telling disabled children their future will be worse. Unforgivable.

Is there a more up to date list of MPs who are still against the UC and PIP bill? I've seen some MP's say they are still not happy, but it's coming across that the majority of dissenters have agreed to the concessions I feel it's a huge mistake The urgency to pass it, is telling
For those struggling to grasp why disabled people are still campaigning, even if not personally affected, let me make it really simple: we know how it feels to live a life filled with obstacles, and want future versions of ourselves to have a better experience, not a worse one!
