📣 Big changes this week: Our backend is now entirely hosted on @googlecloud, via @Firebase hosting! 🔥 All npm proxy requests are now handled by Google Cloud Functions, which provide an auto-scaling, fault-tolerant backend. cloud.google.com/functions/

If you'd like to run arbitrary stateless containers on the Google Cloud Functions infrastructure, just fill g.co/serverlesscont… to request an invite, we are currently in Alpha.

And here's Google's deepfake takedown form: support.google.com/websearch/answ…. The form may assist users with de-indexing from Search: nude or sexually explicit images of you without your consent, fake nude or sexually explicit images, porn site that contains a full name or business name

Glad to see @Google is in the fight against deep fakes! These fake porn videos are being weaponized to harass women - by putting deep fakes on their ban list, anyone targeted can request the search engine block the results. washingtonpost.com/technology/201…

My Streaming Systems book is finally done. Available now in PDF & EPUB. Print version available for preorder, Kindle & Safari versions coming soon. Details at streamingbook.net. *crashes on the floor in exhaustion as @streamingbook proceeds to spew out snark on Twitter*

I’m a book, so I may not tweet very much. But I got sent to the printers last week, & I’m looking forward to being replicated in the form of dead trees & colored chemicals. I've also been replicated digitally for those of you who don’t hate mother nature: streamingbook.net
