Desi founders are killing it in the AI world. If I recall correctly, I have seen desi founders raise at least 10 massive rounds by tier 1 investors in the last few months. Congrats to yet another one. And I’m sure many many more to come.

We have raised $61M, but that’s not what excites me. Our original idea was fine tuning LLMs for enterprises. Although we topped some benchmarks, the business was not viable.

Twitter is the new Instagram.

Popularity and likability is a vibe.

Air travel feels less safe than before. A friend faced material issues with 3 consecutive flights. Today, his plane caught fire, and passengers were stranded on the runway for 2 hours. Is there any data driven research into whether flying is less safe now?

16 things consumer fintech founders say → what they really mean 1. "we're not a bank, we're a tech company that happens to move money" → desperately needs that 40x revenue multiple 2. "traditional banks haven't innovated since the 80s" → our entire stack runs on their rails…

We haven’t yet scratched the surface of all the weird businesses and business models that’ll be built on top of AI. Same as before the internet, people couldn’t have even fathomed feet pics as a business, we don’t know what AI will bring. It’s going to be both weird and…

In the last 10 years of seeing the Bay Area, you realize only a few things matter. The rest is just noise. - momentum in meeting people better than you - be very hungry (always) - success You can distract yourself with every new shiny thing, but if you aren't doing that in the…

There should be more desi founder AI events given how many are building great companies in the AI world. The desi ecosystem could be way stronger than what it is right now.

How can you build a company that you can sell for $10M+ in the next 1-2 years? What’s your best idea for this? What would you target? - consumer - SMB - enterprise - What will be your business model? - What’s your GTM? (One channel)

If you own your business in any structure, how much in W2 will be equal to $1M of tax optimized income? Most people see high W2 numbers, but forget that you need lower self employment numbers to net the same. Has anyone done this analysis? (ballpark numbers are fine)

Who is the best desi guy in founder marketing that you know? I know good people in B2B sales and had one of them on the podcast, but I'm looking to talk to someone who is like Nikesh Arora. Bonus points if that person speaks Hindi and is willing to talk about how desi founders…

The biggest missing skill for desi founders is sales. There are so many great people I know but we all lack good sales skills. We are humble, talk straight, don’t fluff up too much, and try to deliver more value than what we ask for. Marketing and sales can be learned and not…

Stuck founders find it difficult to get advice from their immediate circle. All the advice from other founders and their investors is one directional - generational company or zero. There’s almost zero content or support to help founders exit companies if it’s not a home run.…
