Our publication in @J_A_C_S demonstrates that aluminum radicals can reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) through a single electron reduction which is typically thermodynamically less favorable. I am grateful to my PI, @NealMankad, for his constant support and motivation.

Our latest Al-Fe research is published in @J_A_C_S. Led by my student Roushan @ChemistryatUIC and our collaboration with Dan Ess of BYU, we are starting to map the chemistry of Al(II) through this mild approach! doi.org/10.1021/jacs.5…

What a week! The AIMED Workshop on Heterogeneous Catalysis was a remarkable success after nearly a year of prep. We couldn't have picked a better time - the excitement is at an all-time high, with two Nobel Prizes recognizing AI and fueling the momentum for scientific discovery!
