In the beginning of the project, #ONI was a 100% stop motion project. We made a bunch of stop motion test with @dwarf_inc and LOVED it. As scope of our story grew, we made a shift to CG but still tried to get the feel of stop motion as much as possible. #thundergodstale

Yesterday, our film crew got with the new wave of layoffs at Netflix. Unfortunately for me, this means more than that. I am on a work visa here in the United States. So, my time here is limited, and playing against me. I’m looking for full-time opportunities!

I’ve had a lot of students ask me how to build confidence around their work, and my honest answer is that it is a never ending battle. Sitting here working on a top tier dream project (& doing work I’m proud of), yet getting into my head about feeling like a “failure.”

painting I did for Raya and the Last Dragon. the original idea came from our awesome production designer @MingjueChen , I got a chance to do a little bit of redesign on it and make it like a cave. I really liked the idea so I did 6 more of this paintings
