I don’t consume Dairy but others do so I support high welfare calf at foot systems and will NEVER support intensive Factory systems BUT we all have our part to play. Pay the right price, consume less and better..waste less.

EAST: Hard to believe right now with snow on the ground and a southeasterly wind gusting 40mph creating a windchill of -7°C 🥶, but ensemble guidance continues to be rather bullish at the prospect of temperatures reaching the mid-teens Celsius by next weekend (20th-21st)... 🌡️

Stunned reading Ditchley lecture by @michaelgove. Govt needs: more diversity, experimentation, domain knowledge (particularly in foreign policy), grasp of stats, accountability & less blame re risk taking. I agree with almost every word. I just hope they know how to deliver...

So good!

Speaks sense this girl...😜 Seriously-lets stop this politics of envy. Your challenges aren’t because of someone else’s success...We shouldn’t need to restrict others in order to progress ourselves. Aspiration isn’t a bad thing.... #billionaires

Our streams and rivers are not meant to turn brown each time it rains. The seas around Britain were once brilliant blue. Now they’re brown. Our soil, on which we depend utterly, is simply being washed away because we don’t seem to understand or care that when it’s gone it’s gone.

Bill Bryson's judgement on the UK: 'this is still the best place in the world for most things - to post a letter, go for a walk, watch television, buy a book, venture out for a drink, go to a museum, use the bank, get lost, seek help, or stand on a hillside and take in a view.'

243.3%. That's the increase in the area of woodland on UK farms between 1984 and 2018 and now stands at over 1 million hectares. I think folks generally think that planting trees is a good thing, but those are stats that you never see used anywhere.

Grass is as good a sequester of carbon as rainforest. Much of Britain is uncultivatable grass and ruminants convert that to food that humans would not otherwise be able to eat. Nothing wrong with eating meat.

So we have a situation where Lucas, Corbyn, Sturgeon and Swinson call for Johnson to resign, but they won't fire him through a vote of no confidence (as is their right) because they are scared of an election. What a mess the UK is in...and what hypocrites our politicians are.
