On Wednesday, UQ's @NTEUnion members are going on strike for better pay and conditions. It's been over 600 days since the last Agreement expired & management is no hurry to negotiate. If you work at UQ and not a union member please join and help send management a strong message.
An excellent piece, none of us should look away from our responsibilities here.

‘Palace letters’ show the queen did not advise, or encourage, Kerr to sack Whitlam government
There are many questions regarding The Dismissal that can still be debated. But the queen simply advised the governor-general to follow the constitution, which is as she should have done.
A shame but understandable
With much regret #irspm2020 is cancelled. Situation is now too unpredictable. Running the conference online worldwide is impossible within our resource limitations. All registrants will be refunded. Please be considerate and wait for further communications from @TampereUni
