Getting an evaluation that says read more as my way to improve
Seriously, how does anyone afford anything in residency? I’m a month into this and the financial stress is so real.
How do I try to convince my family to come visit me once a month in residency? Well basically I just sent them amazing restaurants in the area. Like, who can resist that? Not me 😂
Me at orientation: Oh my goodness we can’t sit here it says it for residents. My co-resident: Sam we literally are residents, it’s for us. Lol @ me, this whole I’m a resident physician is going to take some getting used to.
I’m so thankful for my residency but leaving my family and dogs tomorrow is making me so sad 🥺
This is my incredible classmate. She is resilient beyond belief and one the sweetest caring mom/physician I know.

The amount of times I have been told that community work doesn’t matter as much as research is A LOT. I think both are equally important. Research deepens understanding, ensures quality care and addresses disparity, but community work does the same thing just in a different way!

Okay so my new favorite thing is knowing what color every hospital chooses for their scrub color and I have been asking my classmates. So what is your scrub color for residency?? Mine is a true royal blue which will be quite a contrast from my go to black or navy blue lol!
I love interior decorating and every time I move I want to add a bit to the collection, but the end of fourth year budget and residency relocation loan make that impossible to do so and it’s just a sad moment for me 🥺🥺

Seriously already so thankful for my residency. Not only did my PD, chair, and half the residents reach out, I asked about housing and shared I was nervous with one of them, and they responded they are here to help and to remember that when holding the pager 🥹
