If you have 10-20 minutes (depends on how fast you are), would you please consider doing this online study on #mentalimagery & #visualperception? It contains a survey & an experiment where you look at pictures and you respond what you see: tstbl.co/820-917

Here is a new, shorter version of our mental imagery survey. Please if you can spare a few minutes we would appreciate if you could take this & pass it along to others who might be interested. Thanks! tstbl.co/763-452 #visionscience #aphantasia #mentalimagery

It is the end of an era at @CORTEXjournal As the irreplaceable Sergio Della Sala has now stepped down as EiC, @mcintord Rob McIntosh is taking over the reign, with a wholly reorganised editorial board. I'll try to do my best to support this new chapter: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

At long last, the article by Jenny Huang & me on a likelihood framework to quantify statistical evidence for small sample studies (the "universality test") is published in Psychological Methods: doi.org/10.1037/met000… Happy Christmas & New Year to all!

Sorry but that title is terrible. Doesn't roll off the tongue at all. Some many better options: - "Meet The Moggies" - "Reesing Up With The Moggs" - "The Only Way Is Somerset" - "The Great British Jerk Off" - "How The Haughty Have Fallen"

Not really a new preprint, but substantial revision of one from earlier this year, including a changed title (tbh I never liked the old one anyway): doi.org/10.1101/2024.0…

Preprint: It's been suggested that Aphants may be able to visualise, but lack insight, as they can do Mental Rotation (MR) tasks. Instead, we show MR tasks are a weak measure of the propensity to visualise. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

New Preprint: Imagery priming of binocular rivalry is not a reliable metric of individual differences in the subjective vividness of visualisations We make the important point that imagery priming of BR dominance is not an objective measure of imagery biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…

A fascinating survey on mental imagery! I learned a lot about how I perceive things with my mind’s eye.

Oy, Brissy, but this is some buss**t. Why is the temperature dropping by 10 degrees for literally the whole time I'm there for?

Okay I have achieved some mild progress installing my new research computer. This is as productive as it gets for this week I think... Time for the weekend! PSA: Any more tweets about mental imagery will have to wait till Monday 😏
