WE ARE GOING ON A HUNGER STRIKE FOR YEMEN ON MARCH 29 IN DC ✊🏽 Here are our demands and why - a thread.
Why a War Powers Resolution matters and common misconceptions about the current situation in Yemen 🧵
Interesting how it took Saudi Arabia "siding" with #Russia to force the U.S. to reassess this ugly courtship. But the hundreds of thousands of Yemenis that #KSA has murdered w/U.S. made bombs have hardly raised a brow. The U.S MUST #StopArmingSaudi 7 years ago! #YemenCantWait
Love when Yemen “experts” dismiss overwhelming war crimes and an actual blockade to focus on a couple of fuel ships. Yemen is experiencing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world and they are truly indifferent. Our tragedy is their job security.
Just because a truce has been signed and kept doesn't mean the Yemeni people are fully benefiting, says @shireen818. Here's why: responsiblestatecraft.org/2022/08/16/how…
The articlewas about the suffering of Yemeni families as they see their children die because of the Saudi led war and blockade. How on earth did it turn into how many ships were allowed in? This dehumanizes the grieving families and their needlessly suffering and dying children.
Hi Alex - thanks for reading. This CNN article (linked in my piece) mentions that only 24 of 36 ships have been permitted to enter Hodeidah by the coaltion: cnn.com/2022/08/05/mid…
Realize it’s not these particular Supreme Court justices that threaten our lives, it’s when we trusted laws and the courts. They were created to uphold white supremacy
Seems that the @POTUS administration is afraid that China will replace them as the BFF with Gulf countries. To ensure they win that race, they are sacrificing the Yemeni people.#YemenGenocide #YemenUnderAttack defenseone.com/threats/2022/0…
if you’re tweeting about bombings in yemen make sure to say “Saudi-UAE led coalition with US backing” every other characterization is not accurate
Please watch this and share it far and wide. This is what the American public needs to know about what's happening in #Yemen.
Please do not look away from the ongoing horrors in Yemen; horrors that we as Americans have to take some responsibility for; horrors that the Biden administration doesn't seem to want to stop. My commentary on @MSNBC. It's important. Please watch/share:
Our families are isolated, without Internet. #Yemen is under active genocide with global acceptance
⚠️ Confirmed: #Yemen is in the midst of a nation-scale Internet blackout following airstrike on telecom building in #Hudaydah; real-time network data show collapse of connectivity on leading provider; incident ongoing 📉
We need to help end the war in Yemen, not escalate it by re-imposing Trump’s Houthi terror designation. Humanitarian orgs have warned this would mean even higher food & fuel prices for millions of Yemeni civilians & wouldn’t do anything to stop Houthi atrocities.
During this presser, Biden said his administration is considering re-designating the Houthi rebels in Yemen as a terrorist organization. Taking them off the list was one of his first actions in office.

While you're at it, Ned, talk about the "flow of weapons" from the US to the Saudi-led coalition. Or should we overlook the US' role in killing hundreds of thousands of civilians across #Yemen because Biden's trying to save face by capturing Marib for the Saudis?
The illegal flow of Iranian weapons to Yemen is enabling the brutal Houthi offensive against Marib, leading to loss of civilian lives and prolonging the war. state.gov/illegal-irania…
Nice try Biden but ur still a pos
Welcome to the White House, Commander.
This latest bombing is nothing but a desperate continuation of Saudi & UAE's years' long terror campaign in #Yemen. It's also been rebranded as "defensive" by the Biden administration to evade accountability for enabling it. reuters.com/world/middle-e…
Photos of the aftermath of #Saudi & #UAE airstrikes on Sana'a Airport yesterday. #Yemen. #YemenCantWait.
Sana’a airport must be opened. More Yemeni die traveling to and out of Yemen in dangerous roads. This youth was killed by criminals on his way to Sana’a after he came back from Jordan. #EndTheBlockase #YemenCantWait @StateDept_NEA @POTUS @RepAdamSmith
Three years ago, Congress (led by @SenSanders, @SenMikeLee, and @ChrisMurphyCT) made history when lawmakers passed S.J.Res. 54, a War Powers Resolution to end U.S. military involvement in the Saudi war on Yemen. [THREAD]
