Does the more informal nature of email turn people into rude gits or is it innate? Had an email from a parent - no greeting or anything, just "Not what I requested!!" Had to give it a minute before I responded.
Great update to the Covid UK dashboard.
NHS Trusts are now fully integrated in the Dashboard and may be viewed on postcode and the Healthcare pages. This was probably one of the most laborious / extensive upgrades we have done. Hope you find it useful. Big thanks to all involved. coronavirus.data.gov.uk #Covid19UK
Interesting bit of news - more consolidation in the MIS market at the end of 2020. Great to see investment in EdTech 👀
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve joined The Key Group to propel Arbor to the next level on our mission to transform the way schools work. Together with @Scholarpack, we’re now the largest cloud-MIS provider in the UK. Read more here: ow.ly/cVQ850CAfah
Teachers, ONS, + SAGE etc FOLLOW UP THREAD. As Twitter is bad for nuance, I’d like to follow up on a recent thread. TL;DR: (1) The ONS is still a good agency. (2) Don’t panic (about teacher risk). (3) The teachers study and its usage are still a problem. 1/
ONS, breaches, + teachers: THREAD Today I reported an ONS breach to the UK Statistics Authority. Two breaches in fact: one regarding an “ad hoc” analysis on education staff in part 9 of the 6 Nov ONS covid survey pilot, and one for a related 3 Nov government leak. 1/
Here we have a council deprived of funds for a decade with no assets left to sell, a city centre economy built on offices and retail and the worst transport system of any major UK city. Has Britain’s second largest city reached breaking point? theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/n…

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-… So Wales have pressed the button. Will Westminister wait to decide until way beyond the point at which the right course of action has become obvious to everyone, like they do with everything?
Ooooh I love nice graph 👍 I wonder why more of Birmingham is travelling?
May be a little short on sleep tomorrow - planning on staying up for the early results 👀
Some friends in the UK and Europe have asked for suggestions on what to watch for in US election returns tomorrow night / Wed. morning. Here is a thread. And it's pretty high-level political geekery.
Do you think Chris Whitty and the PM are having a fistfight over the lockdown measures? Winner gets to announce their preferred scheme at the press confenece.
projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-… I check this at least once a day and read all the BTL comments. My nerves are shredded. Is an 88% chance enough for Biden?! What about if he loses PA?! I can't imagine being a citizen of the US right now and not being a basketcase.
