Brad Lander is not anti-Zionist, in fact he's a Zionist. His rational for divesting was NYC does not hold any other foreign gov't bonds why give Israel "special" status? That's equity. Levine seeks to reverse that equity even in light of Israel's gross violations of IHL.

I think this year’s election is an example of the benefits of having off-year elections. Mamdani vs Cuomo has led to a vigorous debate abt the future of the city, with lots of big policy discussions and real attention on these issues. V unlikely to happen in a prez election year

Lander attack against communities for change is wrong. They played a critical role in divestment when I was comptroller. His pander claim that divestment was stuck is just not true. Looking forward to a real climate agenda with mark levine!
