I'm going to try to change your perspective on COVID in under 2 minutes and I'm going to use this tweet as a springboard.

I see a ton about long covid from legitimate, scientific sources that if it was even remotely true would have apocalyptic implications, everyone’s heart, lungs, and brain failing at once, and I can’t square it with the world I actually observe every day.

If you want to resist, wear a mask If you care about future generations, wear a mask If you care about your long term health, wear a mask If you want to fight fascism, wear a mask Your resistance effort must be inclusive of everyone Masking is community care

I agree with this as a physician, scientist and a fellow human! 😂 This goes well with my statements: 🧠 You did NOT cause your ___ insert dysautonomia, Long COVID, EDS, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's, etc. 🧠 You can't think yourself IN or OUT of illness: you're not that…

Well, it's been about 4 months now since I've consistently felt 90-95% recovered from Long COVID. A lot of people talk about what helped them recover, but here's some things that DIDN'T help me recover:

“Covid is here to stay. No need to continue avoiding it.” “AI is here. We better accept it being integrated into everything.” Stop treating avoidable things as inevitable.

My biggest worry right now is the speed in which Americans normalize worse conditions. A policy could exist for five years and we treat it as irreversible

Yeah, no shit. Disabled people have been telling you all the entire time.

Kerri รีโพสต์แล้ว

Pretty much everyone wears shoes when walking down the sidewalk. Nobody talks about that as living in fear.

Kerri รีโพสต์แล้ว

People today use the phrase "its inevitable" to claim "so its ok to discard ethics." I will not. AI is not inevitable. War is not inevitable. Genocide is not inevitable. Climate catastrophe is not inevitable. These are all HUMAN choices. YOU have agency don't pretend otherwise.

Kerri รีโพสต์แล้ว

“use AI or you’ll get left behind” oh no that’s ok you guys go on ahead i’ll be back here with my reading comprehension and critical thinking skills

Covid is only a risk to the vulnerable” narrative was made up by governments to convince you to go back to work. To unmask. To spend money. To think of Covid as a problem only “other” people have to worry about so that you will keep propping up capitalism. We are ALL vulnerable

My new favorite. So simple and clear.

I envy the Palestinians. Not for what they’re going through, obviously, but for what they have. Their supremely authentic culture, with its deep roots and ancient connection to the land. One of the very, very few good things that the Gaza holocaust has brought into this world is…

If you think masking is too hard, you’re not going to like living with chronic illness. If you’re still angry about “lockdowns”, the isolation and loss of autonomy that comes with disability will be a struggle. Wear a mask. Clean the air. Protect your health. It’s worth it.

They meant transgender mice. Exactly what they said. Not transgenic mice.

Why is rest revolutionary?
