Hello Twitter. Nearly forgot this place existed. The view has been fairly repetitive lately.
Looking to collect samples of resistant weeds this harvest, the @resistance_test team provide examples of how to deliver these to the lab for testing.
Samples for the UWA/AHRI resistance testing 2026 are starting to arrive. A large set of herbicides will be tested (about 15 options) for just $250. Photo shows how many heads to collect to do it properly. Get your secateurs out 😁
In case you missed it, GRDC national survey confirmed weed resistance to glyphosate is significantly on the rise, particularly in ryegrass, and using non-herbicide weed management tactics can help to slow the onset of herbicide resistance. bit.ly/4aggEpO

Harvesting one of the last dryland trials 2025. Herbicide residues x crop types with @GRDCNorth Big lesson for me here was how quickly some herbicides leach through the profile, eg terbyne to 15-20cm on 1 rain. Big implications for some crops for safety.
