Texas Democrats Walk Out, Stop Republicans' Sweeping Voting Restrictions
The revolt torpedoed the measure which would have reduced polling hours, empowered poll watchers and scaled back ways to vote in Texas, which already has some of the nation's strictest voting laws.
Grateful to every single voter, advocate, artist, business leader, and elected who spoke out to protect the freedom to vote in Texas. We showed the world just how powerful we can be when we work together to fight for democracy. #txlege

SB 7 changes do not create less suppression. Texas Secretary of State stated the 2020 election was “secure, smooth and safe”. She lost her job for speaking the truth. Evidence based legislative efforts are preferred. 64% of Republicans voted early in 2020. “HELLO”
