Today we had the privilege to be joined by HRH Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh, for our service of dedication. The ceremony, attended by representatives from @stirlingcastle and the wider MOD, saw us formally welcomed into RFA Service ⚓️ 📸 PO(PHOT) Barry Wheeler
Had a great couple of days teaching Will Kirk the very talented carpenter from the TV show The Repair Shop. Great fun as he learnt the old Victorian skill quickly.

Guildhall Yard is one of the few public spaces in the City where the @citylordmayor’s coach can be tethered to a train of 6 horses and turn a full circle.
If you go to the @cityoflondon Guildhall in the next few days, you can see the Lord Mayor's state coach. It's on display daily until Monday 13th Nov, except Sat 11th, when it's needed for the Lord Mayor's Show. You can go into the side corridor for a close look.

Honoured to be taking part in the City of London election of the new Lord Mayor. The election happens at Michaelmas, on 29 September 2023. The Lord Mayor must have served as a Sheriff of the City, and since 1435 he/she has been chosen from among the City’s Aldermen. #History

Last part of the restoration the songwriting. Chose lettering similar to the war graves for obvious reasons. Before and after. Should look good in the church.
Painting the Memorial Cabinet from black to look like mid oak. So base colour and graining tools. The result looks like real wood.

We are so proud of Violet, in Year 12, who participated in the @PaintersCompany prize-giving. Violet’s impressive drawing was chosen to be the first artwork on display as you entered the exhibition and was highly praised by members of the Company as well as other prize-winners.
At our awards dinner last night, @WCNeedlemakers Master John Mill, had the great pleasure of presenting Liveryman John Ryan with a framed certificate in recognition of him being a Needlemaker for over 50 years. Very many congratulations John.

Had the honour of restoring / gilding three amazing thrones. It was a labour of love using old techniques like rabbit glue. And £1,500 worth of gold leaf

The client wanted to remove the fireplace. I suggested softening the bricks and graining the mantle a weathered oak
